This is the same Propolis that is used in the production of our Propolis Capsules dissolved in alcohol and is ideal mixed with warm liquid for use as a gargle, added to honey to take internally or used externally for the treatment of wounds and infections, particularly when mixed with Pure Manuka Oil
Propolis is a natural sterilizing product containing over 60 different naturally occurring chemicals with a wide spectrum of activity from antibacterial, antifungal, and antiviral to anaesthetic and antioxidant.
Propolis is a sticky substance that bees make which is better known as "bee glue". An expert propolis-making bee will gather resin from cone-producing evergreen trees or from the buds of trees, blends the resin with wax flakes, stores it in the gland of his abdomen and, after shaping it into a ball, tucks it into the pollen basket that is attached to his leg. When the basket is full, he then takes it back to the hive, unloads it and uses it to patch up holes in the hive. Bees also use propolis as an antiseptic barrier covering invaders with the sticky substance to prevent hive contamination.
As a drink or to gargle, add 4-5 drops in half a glass of warm liquid once or twice a day. Used an oral rinse, it can reduce inflammation and irritation in the tissues of the gums, lips and throat.
Add to honey to take internally.
Mix with manuka oil to massage into the body externally or apply to the skin where necessary using a cotton bud or piece of linen moistened with the liquid.
