Manuka Honey Sweet Potato Biscuits


2 cups flour

1 tsp baking powder

½ tsp salt

¼ cup vegetable shortening

1 tsp grated orange peel

1 tsp grated lemon peel

¾ cup mashed cooked sweet potato

⅓ cup Manuka honey

½ cup milk or tofu milk



Mix dry ingredients in bowl and cut in shortening.

Mix all well and add to dry ingredients.

Knead dough lightly 3-4 times and roll out on floured surface to 1 inch thickness.

Cut two ½ inch rounds and bake at 200°C (400°F) approx. for 15-18 min.
